My path began in digital storytelling and content creation, expanding to digital marketing when animated websites became a big thing. I loved the excitement of rapid change with the development of new technologies and the ease of reaching a large audience even for a small business. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple agencies taking on various roles that put me on the front lines of these growing resources for marketers and businesses.

However, as competition increased online and the pace of keeping up became more costly, I saw small businesses getting left behind. I saw local business owners struggle to learn how to use the wealth of SaaS options and adjust to new consumer behaviors on top of the normal challenges of running a small business.

In 2015 turned my passion for supporting local businesses and my experience gained in digital marketing into a mission, establishing Coconut Interactive and developing an approach to supplying small businesses with the expertise available to larger businesses at a scale appropriate for their needs and budget.

Since then, the industry has continued evolving at an incredible pace.
